Friday

West beat East.  You know I really don't feel any connection to either school, but I would have loved to been at the game.  Great rivalry, see a lot of people, and the game went to overtime!

I've been getting up at 4:15 all week so I could be in the office at 6 everyday so I could work for an hour before I go to a training seminar.  That's exhausting after, oh, the second day.  But I survived.  It was interesting, though I thought I had left 8am internal audit lectures behind when Miami gave me my diploma.  Actually, I really hoped I had left such things behind.  I know I'm an accountant, but really it's not that interesting.  I also enjoyed the part where the executives mentioned they knew none of us grew up saying, "I want to work in insurance".  Yeah, that's pretty true.

I complain about my social life all the time (what social life?).  Like tonight I went to dinner with one of my college roommates, and was home by 7:00. But then I was online and checked out Ben Roethlisberger's site.  (I'm a Miami grad.  When I left Lakota, they wouldn't let us out until we agreed that Keith Gregor was a god.  Well, Miami does the same thing with Ben.)  The famous rich NFL player evidently spent his Friday night carving a pumpkin with his dog.  Check it out in his blog.  I'm linking to the site on the side of this.  I guess my life is not that bad.

Work

I try to steer away from commenting on work.  But I'll say two things:

1.  If it was fun, they wouldn't have to pay someone and they wouldn't call it work.

2.  I am so not paid enough.  (and I just got a raise)

Saturday

Wow! Miami beat Akron 51-23. I guess I'm not going to critize how they played today. Though I have to say the refs were awful. Erica armed to go with me. A good first time.

Blitzen won't come in He didn't want to come in at supper. He hid under the stationary tub. Then when we ate supper, he climbed onto the couch back with her back paws and put his front paws on the window sill. I don't know what has gotten into him !

Get used to me only reading one chapter of a book before picking up another. I started reading" Highland Legacy" It's one of the 4 novellas in one boots that Christian bookstores sell. They are good some are pretty goody-goody-trough this one starts outtalking about free Newsboys tickets. Thats a good start. at least the author has good choice in music !

Look a like

Okay, since I'm not sure of the rules about this.  The picture of Austin Peck came from nbc.com & the picture of Micheal Weiss is from usfigureskating.com.

Is it just me or do these two look a like?  I've mentioned that I love Days, well I also love to watch figure skating.  BTW, go Timothy make the Olympic team and win another medal.

Almost Friday!

Tonight I'm trying to do this by IM. We will see how this works as an option. I started reading "Christmas with Anne" by L M Montgomery tonight. I know it's early, but it's really good.

I left work on time tonight!!!  Well my boss is on vacation today.  So my manager came in late, left early, and took an hour and a half lunch.

I remembered this afternoon what I was going to say last night but I forgot again.  Maybe I'll remember later.

Laura Ingalls Wilder

I just wrote my opinion of chapter 5 of: Becoming Laura Ingalls Wilder on the Frontier Girl message board. I've it It is my absolute favorite website. Everyone there lines LW as mush as I do. We are Kindred spirits! and they understand that Anne of Green stables reference....

I'm going total a few more people about this. Hopefully, they will leave comments.  (Hint, Hint)

Is it Friday yet?

Inst, I like Rachel Ray. Its' nice to see someone who talks with her hands more than Ido. Really! :)

Second, does anyone want to go to a MU football game with me on Saturday? How wouldn't think it would be this hard to find someone to use a free ticket :(

Third, this laptop has a stylus that I can use as a mouse 0r I can write on the screen and it recognizes my handwriting Really, Really it can! And my handwriting is horrible. I love it. It is a lot of fun to do. Either that or I like my newest toy.

Sunday

First note: Come on Bengals!! You have to beat the Marshall quarterback!

Second: I know we are supposed to honor the Sabbath, but that doesn't work so well.  Several months ago my church messed with the starting time.  It's now at 11:15.  Basically, halfway through the day.  You get up, you get dressed, you wait around doing nothing until you can leave so that you don't mess up your outfit.  You go to church, you go to lunch.  It's now 1:30 when you get home to change clothes.  Except today when I had to go directly to a baby shower.  So fun because I am so not a baby (or toddler for that matter.  If your relative is under 12 please do not show my pictures more than once every six months.  I so need to start carrying pictures of Blitzen to show people.) person.  Then I have youth group from 6 - 8.  I get dinner on my way home, by the time I finish.  I have about an hour before it's time to get ready for bed.  I have to honor the Sabbath because I have no time to break it.  I realize it's a good thing, but I don't like the the absense of free choice.  I like being in control of my own life.

Movies

Does it seem like I talk about movies a lot here?  I never meant to, but hey why not.  I'm watching Legally Blonde.  That is such a fun movie.  Last night, I went with Erica to see Just Like Heaven.  It's a funny and cute movie.  It seems lik Reese Witherspoon is one of my favorite actresses, or I like most of her movies.  But then Ashley Stockingdale says the same thing.  Have you heard of Ashley Stockingdale?  She's the main character in "What a Girl Wants".  It's a book by Kristen Billerbeck. There are two sequels.  It is a fantastic story.  I so identify with her about almost everything possible, except we have different opinions about swords and weddings.  She's a Christian, but superficial about so many things.  You know more familiar with People magazine the "My utmost for His highest."  Has a dog.  Loves clothes.   Would love to be married.  Not thrilled about the lack of  choices out there.  See me?
