Back to the everyday

The news didn't start out tonight with "Breaking News" of a shooting in some part of the city.  With the frequency they happen, I think the news should have "Breaking News" when - "This just in so far today we have not, we repeat have not, had a shooting in Over the Rhine or the West End!"  If it happens every night is it really breaking news?

My dog is being a pain.  He won't come inside for breakfast.  He hasn't had breakfast in over a week.  I've had to drag him in every night for dinner.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I went to Berean's after Thanksgiving sale Friday.  I bought "Emma ever after".  I finished the book yesterday.  It was really good.  I like the new Christian chick-lit.  I do some of the things I do.  Maybe it's not exact.  But I'm more likely to curse and feel a twinge of guilt than have a moral objection to wearing slacks.  So many Christian novels are to goody-goody.  Like at the National Youth Worker's Convention, several jokes ended with "being forced to watch the Left Behind movies."  There a way to kill an evening, but I swear: Get out of the burning building, then share how to become a Christian.  It just seems stupid otherwise.

I have to go back to work tomorrow.  Again it's a day to day thing about whether or not, I tell some people where to go and what to do to themselves once they get there.
